In January, the Cheval Passion horse show will be turning Avignon into the European capital of the equestrian world. More than 1,000 horses and 100,000 horse lovers are expected at this 26^th edition of the show, which has a superb programme lined up.

At Cheval Passion, the visitors from all over Europe will find an atmosphere unlike that of any other horse show, where cowboys rub shoulders with Grand Prix show jumpers, bareback riders admire MCI trials, the Cavalry Regiment of the Republican Guard put on a show of skill, as trekkers enthuse over classical dressage and Camargue gardians cast admiring eyes at the Arabian horses. Children are at the centre of attention, their ponies too.When evening falls, the mood gives way to the magic of the equestrian show with the legendary Crinières d’Or Gala, while it’s fiesta time at the Horseback Cabaret and the Bodega!

The Crinières d’Or Gala at Cheval Passion is a magical show which brings together the most talented artists – horses and riders – of the moment.Over more than 25 years, the Crinières d’Or Gala has showcased more than 300 numbers, some of which have gone on to tour the world.The Crinières d’Or Gala 2011 will be featuringthe return of Lorenzo– a “home-grown” artiste from the Camargue – with Cheval Rouge, Christophe Hasta Luego, l’Art est Cabré, the Cavalry Regiment of the Republican Guard and many others besides.
